What is CCTV?  CCTV stands for Closed Circuit TeleVision.  CCTV systems are comprised of anywhere from one to hundreds of cameras.  These cameras are connected to equipment such as Switchers, Multiplexers and Monitors.  Digital Video is either a video signal that is digitally encoded from the camera or is encoded by the system to be recorded onto a Digital Video Recorder.
